Us common folk not knowing how we gonna cope
Cos greed got us going nowhere slowly with a loss of hope,
we all paid n we gained nothing, but if love was traded for the hatred then just maybe we could change something,
Evolution of the will n strength to use it with,
The being human movement's what I feel the best solution is,
I still stand the same, still the revolutionist,
Saluting with these hands of change we building better futures with,
I ain't stopping til these problems are addressed,
Don't forget each act of kindness offers positive effect,
And yes, you can aid in assistance,
Take break from system of making paper and aim for making a difference,
lets connect the collective n defend the defenseless,
Lets accept the rejected by befriending the friendless,
Lets clothe the cold n feed the unfed,
Lets be human n be that change you wanna see a success,

I used to run in the rat race, the better life was for the choosing
But the illusion had me losing, every night I was boozing
I couldn't get a grip on a slope, I couldn't see
Doctor gave me anti depressants to deal with my anxiety
I was taking my rage out on those closest
Life spinning out of control, feeling low and hopeless
I took a step back, I could see a car crash in slow motion
Me at the wheel face without emotion
The intention was there, no one understood my pain
I saw the car change shape and grip my physical frame
This is my premonition of a chaotic life about to cease
As the car came to a rest it was my metal piece of peace
Rewind back to the beginning of that journey
I met a life that didn't want to hurt me
I showed her my life, she didn't push me away
She introduced me to my humanity and I'm not gonna stray

I remember them cold nights - on that cold floor,
Sleeping in a corner - in a alleyway with nowhere to go,
She asked me to go - so I had to leave,
No p in my pocket - brokenhearted - I departed,
Leaving my seed behind - now I’m fighting with rats to eat,
Trying to steal my grub - when I ain’t looking - that’s beef,
I’m sitting with my hand out - hoping for a hand out,
Or up - but all I’m getting is scowls and frowns,
I ain’t religious but I felt the need,
Tow bow down and pray - to something I can’t see to lead me,
To a safe space - where I could elevate,
Now I’m sofa surfing - sleeping on the floor in the booth,
Mastering my craft - to pay back the man,
That reached out his hand - to pull me up - Thank you,
For being human - which is more than I can say for some,
I spread luv and give to those who have none.
